INLAND MOPARS

In July 1994 at the Redlands optimists car show there was 4 or 5 Mopar owners standing around talking surrounded by Fords and Chevys.  When the thought occurred to them that it would be really neat if just once at a car show Mopars weren't a minority.  They began talking about starting a new car club for people like themselves that were into the restoration and preservation of Chrysler Corp. built vehicles.

Two months later at the Route 66 rendezvous downtown San Bernardino California, two of the guys out of the original 5 recruited 4 or 5 more Mopar owners.  The exact numbers are hard to come up with now but nevertheless by November of 1994 there were at least a dozen.

They had the first 2 meetings, were on the steps behind the bandstand downtown San Bernardino court Street Mall.  By the beginning of 1995 they had about 25 members and were meeting in a Love's restaurant in Riverside California that had a monthly car show.  After about two hours and debate they decided on the name inland Mopars.  By April of 95 not only did they have a name they also had a logo, bylaws, bank account.

Now they are the largest Mopar car club in the Inland Empire with a yearly car show.
